About the Role:
The Community Manager for Manduka is a creative, strategic, and motivated community builder. They feel the heartbeat of the community and transcend that passion into the internal team. This role is passionate about nurturing 1:1 relationship, listening to understand, and creating actionable steps to further build our yoga community. This dynamic individual drives our brand advocacy by fostering and building connections through yoga teachers and practitioners.
The Community Manager supports, engages, and partners cross-functionally with internal teams (creative, social, eComm, global marketing, product, and sales) to integrate and elevate the community, fostering a strong sense of brand advocacy. This role manages the community through the lens of content creation, events, and communication, and collaborates with external partners, including PR agencies, through both digital and IRL channels.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and produce all community events, including in-house events, ensuring internal alignment for best-in-class brand exposure.
Develop a monthly content plan that supports and complements GTM, creating compelling content tailored to the needs and interests of consumers, ensuring alignment with brand messaging and values.
Lead the development and day-to-day execution of an ambassador program.
Develop a plan to engage the PRO program and increase retention and conversion within this community.
Proactively manage relationships with all yoga teachers, providing support and resources to ensure they feel seen, heard, and valued.
Develop engaging initiatives to partner with yoga teachers, fostering a sense of community and collaboration.
Oversee seeding initiatives to distribute products and resources to yoga teachers, maximizing brand exposure and engagement.
Manage community product testing projects.
Stay closely connected with yoga teachers to understand their needs, challenges, and aspirations, advocating on their behalf within the organization.
Support the marketing team with all with seeding requests.
Work closely with the PR agency to develop and execute community programs for yoga teachers, practitioners, and content creators, including retention programs, events, donations, product testing, and lead generation.
Collaborating with Social Media Manager on the content calendar and how this content integrates across channels, if applicable.
Support with securing the correct approval for paid ad content from creators.
Overseeing the affiliate program, including the PRO program, and future development of teacher-led programs.

Passion for yoga and wellness is a plus.
Local candidates only. This is a hybrid role and requires working from our El Segundo office at least twice a week.
