Job Overview:
As a Care Worker, you will provide essential support and assistance to individuals with disabilities or other special needs. Your role will involve providing patient care, assisting with daily activities, and promoting a safe and comfortable environment for our clients as well as companionship.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care and support to individuals
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation
- Administer medication as directed by healthcare professionals
- Implement behavior management strategies to ensure the safety and well-being of clients
- Assist with mobility and transfers as needed
- Engage clients in social activities and promote their overall well-being as well as provide safe companionship to promote a healthy lifestyle.
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided
Experience:
- Previous experience working in Home Health is preferred
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality is preferred
- Familiarity with working in a healthcare or social work setting is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
