Job Purpose Statement:

This position is critical to help the company meet quality objectives and exceed customer expectations. The position requires excellent focus, high attention to detail, strong analytical capability and excellent problem solving skills. This position serves at the last line of defense between Carlstar and our valued customers.

Summary of Responsibility:

• Quality - Conduct thorough inspections of incoming raw materials, in-process components, and finished products to assess their quality and compliance with established specifications.
• Documentation - The owner of SOP’s, Work Instructions, ATS, and Training Documents in CPRO system.
• Quality Standards Compliance - Use Tooling Matrix to maintain and track tooling, tooling condition and ensure all tooling and gauges at the site are properly calibrated and within spec.
  • Keep all CPRO records up to date to ensure we remain ISO compliant.
• Training - Ensure employees are trained on all quality procedures.
• Root Cause Analysis - Do root cause analysis on customer returns, create and/or assist in any corrective action request from customers. Will also work with our customers quality teams as needed to resolve issues.
• Continuous Improvement – Lead and participate in CI initiatives aimed at enhancing product quality, processes and efficiency

Education, Experience and Skills Required:

• High School diploma or GED required. Associates degree in related field and/or three years related experience preferred.
• Proficiency in using quality testing equipment and tools.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
• At least 3-year minimum experience in manufacturing environment
• Experience using RF guns, computers and spreadsheet capabilities.

Physical:

• Excellent manual dexterity.
• Ability to stand for duration of shift, walking, bending, twisting, reaching, climbing.
• Hand/eye coordination.
• Ability to lift 50lbs continuously throughout the shift.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to bend, squat and kneel frequently.
• Ability to lift materials, 40 lbs. or less regularly; up to 70 lbs. occasionally.
