Our Ideal Candidate

We are currently seeking survey assistants for project work based in and around the Edmonton area. The ideal candidate will have graduated from a Civil/Geomatics program or have at least 1-2 years experience doing basic Survey work. 

A Day in the Life

Under supervision, you will assist with a broad range of field surveys including legal and non-legal boundary, topographic, design, volumetric, preliminary planning, control and construction. Responsibilities include accurately recording measurements and other data, preparing field notes, quality control for survey work, and compiling and computing data.

What You’ll Bring to the Team

• Enrolled in a Technical Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree program in Geomatics; OR have a strong interest in the field of work
• Effective communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills with a high level of dependability
• Willingness to learn and contribute in a dynamic team environment is essential
• Experience using Leica Survey Equipment and data processing is an asset
• Although not required, previous experience in an engineering consulting, mining, or heavy industrial environment will be considered an asset
• A valid driver’s license is required
• Applicants local to Edmonton will be given preference
