As a Senior Accountant, you will play a crucial role in developing and applying accounting policies and procedures that ensure accurate, timely, reliable financial information is deployed throughout the organization.
What you’ll do:
- This is a key role in assisting functional accounting initiatives including system changes, policy and procedure documentation, and other process improvements.
- Assist in the enhancement of the monthly closing processes
- Review general ledger accounts and prepare monthly general ledger journal entries, adjusting entries, reversing entries and accruals
- Review the trial balance and monthly trends as part of the monthly review process. Prepare in period adjusting entries as necessary
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or associate degree in accounting with 2 years hands on experience
- 3 years of accounting experience.
- Advanced excel skills
- Experience with system changes/implementations
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP is a plus
