We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Controller with a strong background in Public Accounting or the Software/SaaS industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the company's financial operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and implementing effective financial controls.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
- Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports to senior management and stakeholders
- Manage the annual audit process, including liaising with external auditors and preparing required documentation
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations and reporting requirements
- Lead the financial planning and analysis efforts, providing strategic recommendations based on financial data and market trends
- Manage cash flow, including monitoring accounts receivable and payable, and optimizing working capital
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of financial systems and software
- Collaborate with other departments to support overall company goals and objectives
- Provide leadership and guidance to the finance and accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development
