Quality Engineer 

The key responsibilities of a Quality Engineer include creating and implementing quality policies and procedures, monitoring product quality, identifying areas that need improvement, coordinating with other departments to ensure compliance with quality standards, and ensuring that all products meet customer specifications. The quality engineer would oversee the training and development of employees to ensure that they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to produce high-quality products.

Responsibilities:

  • Implementation, and continuous refinement of our quality assurance program, encompassing all stages of the manufacturing process—from material inspection to final product review.
  • Foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement by working closely with various departments to pinpoint and resolve quality challenges swiftly, ensuring the implementation of effective corrective measures to avert future occurrences.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain a quality assurance program including incoming material inspection, in-process inspection, and final process inspection.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address quality issues in a timely manner, ensuring that corrective actions are taken to prevent recurrence.
  • Develop and implement procedures and procedures to continuously improve the quality of products manufactured, identifying, and addressing defects.
  • Utilize quality metrics and data analysis to identify trends and performance gaps, initiating strategic actions to address deficiencies and bolster product quality.
  • Provide guidance to production team on proper quality control procedures and techniques.
  • Develop and analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends and areas of improvement and implement appropriate corrective and prevention actions.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections of the manufacturing process including products, equipment, and facilities.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Exceptional leadership capabilities with a talent for clear, impactful communication.
  • Proficient in interpreting and acting on complex information, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Extensive knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality control methodologies.
  • Adept at analytical thinking and problem-solving, with a track record of addressing quality issues effectively and promptly.
  • Ability to listen, understand, and act of information.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control techniques

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering required.
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods standing and walking.
  • Must be able to lift to 30 - 60 pounds at times. Team lifting when necessary.
  • Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and tolerate exposure to typical noises and smells associated with manufacturing environments.
