We are currently seeking a Maintenance tech to join our Orchard Brands team at our Eatonton Distribution Center.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Inspect and conduct daily walkthrough of reviewing the conveyors to ensure it is working properly.
• Troubleshoot root causes of machine failure and determine plan on how to repair and communicate resolutions to management.
• Make repairs on facility infrastructure related to plumbing, lighting, carpentry, welding, painting, dock doors, external facility along with any other miscellaneous repairs as needed.
• Review machine manuals, prints, diagrams, or schematics details and utilize to repair and ensure equipment are efficiently operating.
• Perform repairs and maintenance on elevated equipment.
• Repair basic electrical issues across the facility.

QUALIFICATIONS 

One-year basic craftsmanship of traditional trade experience in one or more disciplines of mechanical, electrical, machine repair and basic preventive maintenance practices, industrial conveyors, and carpentry.

• Preferred knowledge in industrial maintenance environment.
• Ability to work as a team player in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work Night shift when needed to support business operations on ensuring machines are properly working
• Basic computer knowledge: of Microsoft Office Suite, and the ability to learn and navigate maintenance software.
• Possess a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work under pressure, tight time frames, and flexibility as priorities change quickly.
• Ability to work Saturdays and overtime as needed.
• Ability to follow safety rules and procedures.

WORK ENVIRONMENT 

The workplace utilizes conveyors, material handling devices and other powered equipment to perform warehousing and distribution functions. For the sake of safety and efficiency, employees must be able to recognize and promptly react to changing conditions and follow company safe work practices. The building is not air conditioned, requiring flexibility to work under varying temperature conditions.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Ability to walk and remain standing for extended periods of time. Ability to reach above head. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. The position involves exposure to cotton, wool and synthetic fabrics and their related lint and dust, as well as packing materials and packing adhesives.
