We are seeking a skilled and experienced Estimator/Project Manager to join our team and contribute to our continued success.

Position Overview: The Estimator/Project Manager will play a critical role in our company, responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates for roofing projects and managing those projects from inception to completion. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, project management skills, and client relationship abilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the roofing industry and a proven track record of successfully estimating and managing roofing projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Estimating:
  • Prepare detailed and accurate estimates for roofing projects based on specifications, drawings, and site inspections.
  • Analyze project requirements, determine the scope of work, and identify necessary materials, labor, and equipment.
  • Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to obtain pricing for materials and subcontracted work.
  • Present estimates to clients, addressing any questions or concerns and providing professional recommendations.
  1. Project Management:
  • Oversee the planning, scheduling, and execution of roofing projects to ensure timely and successful completion.
  • Coordinate with clients, architects, subcontractors, and internal teams to manage project requirements and expectations.
  • Monitor project progress, budget, and quality to ensure adherence to project plans and specifications.
  • Conduct regular site visits to inspect work, resolve issues, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  1. Client Relations:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing exceptional customer service and addressing any issues or concerns promptly.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring clear communication and satisfaction.
  1. Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain detailed and organized project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports.
  • Prepare and present regular project status reports to management and clients.
  • Ensure all necessary permits and inspections are obtained and documented.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the roofing industry, with a focus on estimating and project management.
  • Strong understanding of roofing materials, techniques, and industry standards.
  • Proficiency in estimating software and project management tools.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and contracts.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in the roofing industry.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
