WILLOUGHBY-EASTLAKE CITY SCHOOLS is Hiring a School Psychologist Near Eastlake, OH

Position: School Psychologist
Effective: 2024-2025 School Year

Summary: Provides student assessments to identify developmental, learning, behavioral, and/or mental health problems.
Develops interventions to prevent/remediate identified concerns.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Identifies opportunities to enhance student learning.
  • Consult with teachers, parents, and administrators to find effective solutions to learning and behavior problems.
  • Coordinates the Multi-Factored Evaluation process and parent/student conferences.
  • administers/interprets diagnostic tests.
  • Prepares 504 accomodation plans. Serves as a parent/staff resources for plan implementation.
  • Facilitates/supports the least restrictive environment for the placement of students with disabilities.
  • Completes Evaluation Team Reports by required deadlines.
  • Helps staff with Individualized Education Plans.
  • Provide training in social skills and behavior management.
  • Advocates for students. Promotes creativity, critical thinking, cultural awareness, and self-reliance.
  • Protect confidentiality of records and information gained as part of exercising professional duties and use discretion in sharing such information within legal confines.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience & Certification: At a minimum must hold a valid or obtain an appropriate Ohio Department
of Education license.

Criminal Records Check: Must comply with Ohio Revised Code 3319.39 Criminal Records Check.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $46,395.00 - $94,131.00 per year
