Job Summary

• The primary function of this position is to install and setup mold tools in injection molding machines, including inserts and auxiliary equipment relating to the molding process in order to keep the machines running to specifications.

Main Responsibilities

• Install and setup mold tools in injection molding machines including auxiliary equipment.
• Follow and document process parameters to ensure repeatable results.
• Material handling, blending and minor maintenance.
• Provide training to technicians and/or machine operators as required.
• Review daily production schedule to understand which jobs require setup.
• Use troubleshooting skills and work with mold process technicians, operators and/or tool maintenance personnel to address unacceptable reject levels, resolve process or tooling problems, and develop more robust and repeatable molding processes.
• Assist in the creation, modification, or standardization of existing work procedures.
• Maintain all required documentation.
• Keep current with emerging technology in molding to include auxiliary equipment.
• Operate machines when required.
• Follow all International Standards that apply to certification and QMS.

Qualifications

• 2 to 4 years of Injection Molding experience in support of Automotive or Electronics Industry preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and understand geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
• Appropriate mechanical and technical skills.
• Intermediate computer skills.
