General Laborer

Summary/Objective
The general laborer position will fulfill a variety of roles within the company from machine operation, to packing finished to loading trucks for delivery.

Essential Functions

• Read and comply with all work orders and job card instructions.
• Performs work as assigned by the department supervisor.
• Operate push button machines ensure maximum machine uptime.
• Track production/scrap and accurately complete production records and related paperwork.
• Fill out and attach appropriate labels and tags to products and packages.
• Pack finished products into correct packages and boxes.
• Perform any product finishing as required.
• Notify supervisor of any mechanical or material issues.
• Place finished goods on the designated pallet.
• Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition.
• Must be willing to accept and receive frequent supervision and constructive feedback.
• Comply with company and OSHA safety and health rules.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at the work site including heat and cold exposure. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position requires the employee to stand, walk, bend, kneel, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move items over 50 pounds.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. The hours of work are Monday through Thursday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., 40 hours per week. Overtime is occasionally required on Fridays.

Travel
Travel is not required for this position.

Required Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

• Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Previous production experience.
