City of East Moline is Hiring a Part-Time Custodian Near East Moline, IL
The East Moline Public Library is seeking a part-time custodian for care and maintenance of the library. This is a 15 hour per week position, 6 a.m. - 9 a.m. Monday-Friday plus additional hours as needed. The pay for this position is $15.00 per hour. The essential functions of the job include:
- Cleans building by dusting, wiping, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming to ensure a tidy appearance of the library.
- Empties all waste receptacles, recycling bins, and paper shredders into outside containers.
- Cleans and replenishes restroom supplies regularly.
- Maintains cleanliness of staff lounge, including appliances.
- Spot cleans glass smudges on interior glass.
- Assists with shoveling and salting sidewalks in inclement weather.
- Works outside picking up trash, trimming bushes, and pulling weeds as needed.
- Communicates supply requests in a timely manner.
- Maintains the janitorial closets in a clean and uncluttered condition.
- Maintenance duties, including replacing filters and batteries, mounting frames and bulletin boards, and minor repairs.
- Participates in relevant training and continuing education.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
