Job Title: Payroll Administrator Location: East Liverpool, Ohio Job Description: East Liverpool City Schools is seeking a dedicated Payroll Administrator to join our team. Reporting to the Treasurer, the Payroll Administrator will be responsible for processing regular and special district payroll operations and assisting with HR payroll-related issues for East Liverpool School District employees. Qualifications: Associate's Degree or equivalent Valid driver's license Experience with state financial software (USPS) Proficiency in computerized accounting procedures Skilled in operating general office machines (e.g., computers) Strong bookkeeping skills Good attendance record and high moral character Accuracy and efficiency in handling detailed work assignments Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Responsibilities: Maintain accurate employee records both physically and electronically. Calculate salaries for all staff members. Prepare contracts and salary notices as required. Process timesheets for payroll accurately and on time. Complete bi-weekly payroll processing, including deduction checks and electronic deposits. Manage School Employee Retirement System (SERS) new and terminated employee forms and monthly reports. Handle State Teachers Retirement System (STRS) new and terminated employee forms and monthly reports. Assist auditors and GAAP consultants as needed. Provide information to lending institutions upon employee request. Maintain annuity and other deduction records. Generate payroll reports as necessary. Ensure compliance with COBRA notification requirements. Process payroll forms for new employees, including health insurance enrollment. Manage staff EMIS information accurately. Demonstrate strong organizational skills in task completion. Identify, analyze, and solve problems effectively. Adhere to Board Policy, Administrative Guidelines, and the Negotiated Agreement for the operation of the school building. Perform additional duties as assigned by the Treasurer and Superintendent.
