Seeking an experienced Medical Assistant for our busy practice in East Haven, CT.
Description
The Medical Assistants' main job function is to assist the Physician and PAs with patient care. Provide efficient and thorough care to each patient.
Duties and responsibilities
Prepares exam room, treatment room, supplies, and instruments before rooming the patient.
- Prepares patients for physician visits and examination assistance.
- Complete vitals and all testing required for visit.
- Reviews and updates patient charts via EMR
- Booking appointments
- Communicates patient results.
- Medication Authorizations
Qualifications
High School Grad or equivalent preferred
Diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant program
Requirements Bilingual in Spanish preferred
2 years of Adult Primary Care experience.
Experience with testing equipment (EKG, SPIROMETER etc..)
Able to perform injections.
Strong working knowledge of medical terminology
Strong computer skills including EMR systems.
Strong verbal and communication skills
Detail oriented
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
