We are seeking an Environment Scientist 3 to join our East Hartford, CT team! Come join us!
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Manage Phase I, II and III ESAs.
Prepare CT Transfer Act Milestone documents. Completion of Investigation reports and Remedial Action Reports.
Mentor and lead junior staff.
Strong understanding of environmental field practices; environmental media sampling, soil and groundwater investigation, remediation oversight.
Design, construction and O&M of remediation systems.
Prepare remediation bid documents.
Stormwater Compliance experience a plus.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Strong time and task-management skills
Mini mum Requirements:
Bachelor of Science degree in geology, environmental science or similar field of study
3-5 years of professional experience
Thorough knowledge of CT Environmental Standards and Regulations
Strong technical writing skills. Must be able to prepare reports independently and with limited direction.
Strong project management skills
Technical Experience:
Knowledge and understanding of the Connecticut Property Transfer Law
Current OSHA HAZWOPER Certification
Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.)
Other miscellaneous qualities:
CT LEP or LEP Track
AutoCAD and GIS proficient
Ability to pass a MVR
Ability to travel within Connecticut with opportunities to travel throughout New England
