Registered Nurse - Medical/Surgical
Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our medical/surgical team. As a Registered Nurse, you will provide direct patient care, collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, and ensure the delivery of high-quality medical care to our patients. Duties:
- Conduct health coaching and education for patients and their families
- Utilize aseptic technique during procedures and wound care
- Accurately document patient medical information and maintain electronic health records
- Administer medications, including intravenous therapy and tube feeding
- Perform phlebotomy and collect specimens for laboratory testing
- Process collected specimens for analysis
- Stay updated on workers' compensation laws and regulations
- Conduct patient assessments and develop appropriate care plans
- Apply knowledge of anatomy to provide accurate patient care
- Provide occupational health services as needed
Requirements:
- Valid Registered Nurse license in INDIANA
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
- Minimum 2 years of experience in medical/surgical nursing
- Strong knowledge of medical documentation practices and electronic health records systems
- Proficient in performing aseptic techniques and wound care procedures
- Experience with tube feeding administration and management
- Skilled in phlebotomy techniques and specimen collection processing
- Familiarity with workers' compensation laws and regulations
- Excellent patient assessment skills with the ability to identify changes in condition or potential complications
- In-depth understanding of anatomy and its application in providing patient care
- Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
