The Township of East Brunswick is accepting applications for a full-time Engineering Technician II within the department of Planning & Engineering. The ideal candidate will perform a variety of duties to assist the inspections of construction and maintenance of municipal capital improvements. Responsibilities will include inspecting site plans of commercial and residential sites to ensure compliance with approved plans and specifications; operate survey instruments; CAD drafting for tax maps, parcel maps, road and earthwork profiles, cross sections, and miscellaneous capital design projects; and performs related duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Must be proficient in the use of AutoCAD, Word, Excel, and asset management software.
Experience: Experience in performing fieldwork and calculations for land surveying work for municipal projects is preferred.
Education: Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or a related degree is preferred. Recent graduates will be considered.
Licensing & Certification: Must possess a NJ driver's license.
