SCHEDULE:
- Day Shift hours are 7:00am – 5:40pm
- Night Shift hours are 7:30pm – 6:10am
- During training you work 5 shifts that are 8 hours a day
- Once training is completed you will work 4 shifts that are 10 hours a day
- Picking up overtime shifts is allowed and encouraged.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Produce components by assembling parts and subassemblies.
- Read and decipher schematics, blueprints, and assembly instructions
- Position parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
- Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and subassemblies
- Verify adequate materials and supplies are available to complete operations as needed
- Adjust machine as needed for changeovers, different functions, or other varying needs of production
- Spend 10 hours a day working on your feet on the ergonomically enhanced BMW assembly line
- Cleans and maintain work area and equipment, including tools
- Conduct quality control checks periodically
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Critical thinking, problem-solving and multitasking skills
- Stand and/or move at a fast pace for up to 10 to 12 hours a day
- Bend, squat, reach, lift, and stoop repeatedly throughout the course of a 10 hour shift
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs with or without reasonable accommodation
- Must be able to discern written and oral instructions and communication
- Must be able to exchange accurate information written and orally
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
- 1 year assembly/manufacturing experience
- Experience working in other production roles is a plus
- High school diploma or GED
