Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pediatric Speech Therapy Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will assist in providing speech therapy services to pediatric patients in a home health setting, working under the supervision of a licensed speech therapist. The role involves implementing treatment plans, documenting progress, and helping children achieve their therapy goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the speech therapist in providing therapy services to pediatric patients in their homes.
- Implement individualized treatment plans designed by the speech therapist.
- Monitor and document the patient's progress during therapy sessions.
- Educate patients and their families on exercises and activities to be carried out at home.
- Communicate effectively with the speech therapist, patients, and their families.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding speech therapy services.
- Associate's degree from an accredited Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) program.
- Current Speech Therapist Assistant license in the state of Texas.
- Previous experience in pediatric speech therapy is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to patients' homes.
