Our client in Eagan, MN is currently seeking a Medical Materials Manager. In this role you will oversee shipping, receiving, material handling, and inventory management.

Your role involves training and guiding the warehouse team to ensure a safe working environment while enhancing efficiency.

You will tackle challenges to optimize inventory control, reduce freight costs, and improve time management. Continuous improvement of warehouse operations and overall performance is key.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities :

• Maintain a safe work environment.
• Ensure timely product shipments.
• Align operations with strategic plans to meet business objectives.
• Provide input for strategic planning and budgeting.
• Improve warehouse efficiency continually.
• Foster team development and motivation.
• Recruit, train, evaluate, and discipline staff as necessary.
• Control costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Proactively address problems and devise solutions.
• Develop processes for receiving, shipping, and inventory management.
• Ensure inventory accuracy.
• Collaborate with other managers for seamless coordination.
• Optimize material and information flow.
• Monitor performance visually and address issues promptly.
• Link performance to Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Promote a zero-defect mindset and implement 5S practices.
• Engage employees through active listening and Gemba walks.
• Ensure compliance with quality and safety protocols.
• Prioritize customer satisfaction.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Education & Experience Requirements :

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated leadership ability and results-driven approach.
• 5 years of supervisory experience and 10 years in warehousing.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and team-building skills.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications (MRP, MS Word, Excel).
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing and MRP systems.

Preferred Skills & Abilities :

• Effective communication across all levels of the organization.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and self-motivated.
• Experience in medical device industry (preferred).
• Familiarity with cGMP and ISO 13485.
• Knowledge of Syspro and SAP.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Analytical ability and organizational skills.
• Forklift certification is a plus.
