Position: Emergency Preparedness Coordinator
Status: Full-Time; 40 hours; Monday - Friday
Summary: : Build and sustain the Health Department’s public health preparedness capacity. Ensure compliance pertaining to deliverables of the Public Health Emergency Preparedness (PHEP) grant. Prioritize a risk-based approach to all-hazards planning to improve readiness, response, and recovery capacity for existing and emerging public health threats. Support whole community readiness, response, and recovery through partnerships and communication systems for timely situational awareness and risk communication. Work closely with local, regional, and state partners. Maintain the Effingham County Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) unit.
Environmental Health: Perform office and field work, including educational and enforcement activities, related to the regulation of food establishments. Conduct activities related to vector surveillance. Provide support for other Environmental Health programs as requested.
