Communications Associate 

Innovant Public Relations seeks a highly motivated and enthusiastic Communications Associate. Key Responsibilities

Social Media  

· Research and develop copy and graphics for social media posts

· Identify opportunities and creative ways to share key messages on social media

· Complete market research and stay up to date with trends

· Assist in setting goals 

· Maintain editorial calendars

Copy Writing and Editing

· Draft and edit website copy

· Draft and edit press releases, ensuring key themes are represented 

· Draft and edit one pagers and PowerPoint decks

Branding & Graphic Design  

· Create graphics for social media posts and other uses

· Ensure brand standards are properly utilized

· Design PowerPoint slides

Project Support and Planning

· Compile and distribute press clip reports following client announcements/press releases

· Monitor key publications for client mentions 

· Coordinate and support events

· Manage the process of ensuring communications deliverables are completed on time and are in line with client expectations

· Organize and manage electronic files, photos, and graphics

· Taking detailed notes and follow-ups in meetings/calls

Skills/Experience

· Educational background in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field preferred

· Working knowledge of renewable energy and cleantech preferred

· Experience working in fast-paced environment or agency

· Ability to produce a first-rate work product under tight deadlines

· Organizational and multitasking skills

· Verbal communication and interpersonal skills, competence making and participating in professional phone calls

· Stellar writing, editing, and proofing skills

· Self-starter, able to work independently

· Deep experience in using social media: Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Instagram

· Intermediate working knowledge of WordPress (or other web content management systems), Canva, Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop is a plus
