31550 Warehouse Support - MAS

Purpose

These individuals will participate in the overall operations of the branch by receiving incoming goods, picking and packing orders, shipping completed orders, recording material movements, and assisting administrative support staff with customer shipping.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Receives incoming orders for parts, accessories, or product by inspecting incoming documentation and matching with items received.
• Notifies supervisor of any discrepancies for further processing.
• Unloads received items from trucks or other transit containers and transfer items to designated stock location.
• Receives work orders from supervisor or other oral instructions to ascertain orders to be filled.
• Picks orders by visually identifying part numbers, quantities and types.
• Packages order by applying approved methods to ensure safety of shipping and moves to appropriate staging location.
• Prepares completed orders for shipping using accepted methods determined by transit type, such as FedEx or commercial transit.
• Creates labels and other supporting documentation for shipping.
• Records transactions as required.
• May load trucks or other transit containers with completed orders when necessary, ensuring safe operation and secure packing for over the road transit.
• May record material transfers, storage and other movements on RF scanners, ensuring accuracy of information.
• Prepares saw chain for customer specifications or inventory by taking bulk chain, matching chain type with work order, and creating specified lengths.
• Packs completed chain and prepares for shipping or inventory. Records completed chain in inventory system.
• Follows all defined safety procedures and uses judgment to ensure safe work methods.

Specifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1 months related experience and / or training.
• Uses hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.
• Reaches with hands and arms.
• Sits occasionally, stands, walks, stoops, kneels and crouches frequently.
• Lifts and / or moves up to 25 pounds frequently and lifts and / or moves with mechanized assistance up to 100 pounds occasionally
