About the role:
Due to an internal transfer, our Dunedin Laboratory based at Mosgiel is currently offering an exciting and rewarding opportunity for a permanent full-time (40 hours per week) Senior Technician to join our busy Biochemistry/Trace Element laboratory.
This is a challenging role encompassing veterinary clinical pathology (biochemistry & haematology) as well as trace element analyses.
The ideal candidate will have some or all of the following attributes:
- BSc or equivalent, preferably with a Biochemistry or Chemistry major
- Experience in a commercial analytical or diagnostic laboratory preferred
- Experience with clinical analysers and/or ICP-MS instrumentation would be a distinct advantage
- Familiarity with ISO/IEC 17025:2017 and IANZ requirements
- Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Eligibility to work in NZ
