This role reports to:

Director of Warehousing and Logistics

What you will be responsible for:

  • Develop and implement planning to optimize the supply chain process.
  • Analyze market trends, forecasting demand, and identifying areas for improvement in sourcing, production, and distribution.
  • Monitor and analyze inventory levels, trends, and forecasts to determine reorder points and quantities.
  • Use inventory management software and Just-in-Time (JIT) inventory techniques to minimize carrying costs while maintaining adequate supply.
  • Monitor inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies in inventory records to maintain accuracy.
  • Identify, evaluate, and build relationships with reliable suppliers and vendors.
  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and prices with suppliers to achieve favorable conditions.
  • Place purchase orders, monitor supplier performance, and manage supplier relationships to ensure timely delivery of products and materials.
  • Identify and mitigate risks that could disrupt the supply chain, such as natural disasters, supplier bankruptcies, or geopolitical conflicts.
  • Develop contingency plans and alternative sourcing strategies to minimize the impact of disruptions on production and delivery schedules.
  • Use data analytics tools to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery, inventory turnover, and supplier performance to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions to optimize the supply chain process.
  • Analyze costs, negotiate cost reductions, and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality or availability.
  • Prepare and present reports on inventory and purchasing activities, performance metrics, and cost analysis to management.
  • Leverage Inventory Management software and reporting, (NetSuite is preferred).

Who you are:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or relevant field.
  • Certifications such as CSCP, CPIM or Six Sigma are not required but would be strongly preferred.
  • 5 years' of supply chain experience.
  • Supply chain experience must be in the CPG space and ideally in the Nutrition and Supplementation vertical.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with suppliers, manufacturers, distributors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Must have an impeccable attention to detail.
  • Must be willing to jump in and get things done in a very dynamic environment.
  • Understanding of relevant laws and regulations governing supply chain activities, such as import/export regulations, customs procedures, and transportation laws.
  • Strong knowledge of Supply Chain and Inventory Management systems.
