Spartanburg District Five Schools is Hiring an Elementary Math Interventionist, 2024-2025 Near Duncan, SC
LOCATION: Lyman Elementary School
REPORTS TO: Building Principal and Director of Instructional Services
Job DescriptionThe interventionist will work extensively with students to increase student achievement in the areas of math based on individual data. He or she will work in collaboration with the general education teacher to identify specific areas for improvement, set goals and targets for individual student growth, create and implement an action plan, and monitor progress.

- Work one-on-one or in small groups with students in the area of math
- Tailor and plan lessons based on individual student data
- Monitor student progress and adjust instruction according to needs
- Work closely with general education teachers to implement consistent strategies to support students in the classroom
- Maintain consistent communication with the general education teacher to share student data, progress, and necessary instructional adjustments
- A valid SC teaching certificate
- Minimum of five years’ classroom teaching experience in the areas of math
- Experience with Guided Math instructional model preferred
