Description

The Environmental Services Team Member is responsible for cleaning assigned areas according to company standards to ensure a clean environment for residents and fellow staff members. Being efficient, dedicated, a good listener and a problem-solver is what will open our door for you. 

Responsibilities/Duties

• Clean areas according to company standards and within required time frames. 
• Perform a variety of cleaning activities such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and polishing. Replenishes supplies such as bathroom necessities, linen and terry, ect. 
• Transport trash and waste to disposal areas. Stocks, organizes, and maintains housekeeping carts and equipment. 
• Strickly adheres to safety and security policies to ensure personal safety, safety of the residents and their belongings, and company property. 
• Always maintain a positive mindset, hardworking attitude, and friendly manner. 
• Communication is key. 
• Sorting, washing, drying, pressing, and folding clothing and other textile items 
• Removing stains from items using the appropriate procedures
•  Performing minor sewing duties Tracking which items belong to whom 
• Keeping an updated inventory of laundry detergents and sewing kits 
• Tracking maintenance and repairs on laundering equipment 
• Ensuring that the facility remains clean at all times 
• Anticipating and responding to customers’ queries, concerns, and complaints 
• Keeping sufficient tokens or change for the washing and drying machines, if required 

Requirements

· High school diploma or equivalent is preferred

· Prior experience in a similar role is preferable

· Familiarity with cleaning detergents and laundering equipment

· Ability to stand for long periods

· Capacity to lift up to 20 pounds unaided

· Basic arithmetic skills
