St. Pius X- St. Matthias Academic is seeking a full-time mathematics instructor who can teach all levels of Math, grades 9-12.
St. Pius X – St. Matthias Academy, located in Downey, California, offers a Catholic university experience for teenagers. We believe that a college education is a right rather than a privilege. Our mission is to provide all students opportunities to grow in faith, learn without limits, and live with a purpose.
Instructional staff members serve the school’s mission by facilitating daily meaningful learning experiences according to the school’s professional standards in planning, subject matter competency, curriculum & instruction, assessment, and professional development centered on the mission of the St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or related subject is required.
Master’s degree and/or single subject credential preferred
Three years of teaching high school students in the subject area is preferred.
Preference is given to practicing Roman Catholics.

Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
