Job Summary:
A Quality Control Lab Technician is responsible for performing aggregate quality tests, aggregate gradation testing, and asphalt density testing. Take ownership of your role by maintaining lab equipment calibrations and service, data entry, document control, reporting, communication with internal and external customers, and working with a team that feels like family.

Primary Responsibilities:
Be prompt and timely for all assigned shifts, schedules, and projects.
Perform daily QC testing on Hot Mix Asphalt as required (gradations, burn-offs, density, etc.).
Perform stockpile analysis on incoming aggregate and RAP stockpile as needed.
Ability to work independently.
Good penmanship, record keeping, and basic computer skills.
Maintain Quality Control equipment.
Maintain safe practices at all times and report injuries to management as necessary.
Willingness to perform duties outside the normal scope of work as this job description is non-exhaustive.
Position Requirements:
Consent to authorization of a pre-employment work screen, Motor Vehicle Record request, and drug test.
Preferred state DOT Certifications.
Microsoft Office Skills.
Understand instructions from supervisory positions, both written and verbal forms.
Possess excellent communication skills in both written and verbal forms.
Dependability and reliability by showing up to scheduled shifts on time and being prepared for work.
A positive attitude is critical to ensure productive working relationships with co-workers and management.
Continuous exposure to weather elements including heat, cold, noise, dusty conditions, and working outdoors.
