Job Description: We are looking for a Medical Billing/Collections Manager for a large healthcare client of Segrera Associates. The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a medical billing manager. Great opportunity for someone looking to work a hybrid work schedule

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the billing department, including hiring and training staff, handling complaints, and ensuring timely and accurate billing processes.
• Oversee the preparation and issuance of statements and bills.
• Review billing staff work for accuracy, resolving inconsistencies as necessary.
• Provide customer support for invoice disputes or billing inquiries.
• Develop and implement billing policies and procedures.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation of all billing and collections records.
• Address any issues related to billing processes.
• Prepare and present reports to senior management.
• Collaborate with departments such as Finance, Operations, and IT to streamline processes and resolve issues.
• Handle customer complaints related to billing.

Essential Skills:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of medical insurance guidelines and payment methodologies by insurance plan.
• Experience with multispecialty billing guidelines, including Cardiology, Optometry, Chiropractic, Psychiatry, Podiatry, and Acupuncture.
• Experience with Medicare and Medicaid billing.
• Speaks Spanish
