Youth Care Counselor: *Hiring Immediately*

Under the direct supervision of a Shift Supervisor and or Cottage Manager, the Youth Care Counselor is responsible for providing direct care to youths aged 12-20 in a Residential Treatment Center Cottage on an assigned shift. The Youth Care Counselor is responsible for the safety, security, and well-being of the residents in his/her care at all times, and for the implementation of Agency policies and procedures pertaining to direct care.

Hourly Rate: $17 / hour

Responsibilities:

· Supervises residents' daily activities and ensures safety, including nightly room checks.

· Supports residents' routines, education, and recreational activities.

· Interprets agency policies and fosters positive habits among residents.

· Provides emotional and physical protection, accompanies on outings, and escorts to appointments.

· Actively engages in staff meetings, training, and collaborates with other disciplines for residents' well-being.

Requirements or Qualifications:

· A high school diploma or GED is required. An Associate’s Degree or two years of college in a related field is desirable.

· A minimum of one year of experience involving the direct care of children or adolescents is highly desirable.

· Valid NYS or TRI State area Driver’s License

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 per hour
