**Job Title:** Front Desk Receptionist

**Location:** 2 Office Locations. Garden Grove and Diamond Bar.

**Employment Type:** Full-time

Dr. Jin Y. Kim's Periodontal office is a well-established and patient-centric dental practice dedicated to providing high-quality oral healthcare to our community. We are seeking a Front Desk Receptionist to join our friendly and professional team.

**Job Description:**

As a Front Desk Receptionist at Dr. Jin Y. Kim, you will be the first point of contact for our patients. You will play a crucial role in creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere, ensuring smooth office operations, and contributing to the overall patient experience.

**Key Responsibilities:**

1. **Patient Check-in and Check-out:** Greet and assist patients in a friendly and professional manner. Register new patients, update existing patient records, and collect necessary information.

2. **Appointment Scheduling:** Schedule and confirm patient appointments using our dental software. Coordinate and manage the appointment book efficiently.

3. **Insurance Verification:** Verify patient insurance coverage and assist patients in understanding their insurance benefits.

4. **Billing and Payment Processing:** Accurately process patient payments, generate invoices, and handle financial transactions.

5. **Answering Phone Calls:** Handle incoming calls, address patient inquiries, and direct calls to the appropriate staff members.

6. **Maintain a Neat Reception Area:** Ensure the front desk area is clean, organized, and welcoming.

7. **Patient Comfort:** Assist in making patients feel comfortable while waiting for their appointments. Offer refreshments and provide any necessary information or forms.

8. **Data Entry:** Accurately input and maintain patient information in our electronic records system.

9. **Assist with Administrative Tasks:** Provide administrative support to the dental team, including filing, faxing, and photocopying documents.

**Qualifications:**

- Previous experience as a front desk receptionist in a medical or dental office is preferred.

- Proficient with computer software, including dental practice management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Currently we are using Dentrix.

- Strong communication skills and a professional, friendly demeanor.

- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

- Attention to detail and accuracy.

- Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures is a plus but not required.
