Med Rush Clinical Lab is Hiring a Laboratory Technician (Part-time) Near Des Plaines, IL

About us
Med Rush Clinical Lab is focused on serving our community while providing superior customer service. We utilize high-volume FDA-Authorized specimen testing instruments as well as cutting-edge liquid handling technology to minimize human error and deliver timely results for our patients. We offer several diagnostic tests such as routine drug screens and RT-PCR testing.

Education: bachelor’s degree in a chemical, physical, biological or clinical lab science or medical technology OR Associate’s degree in a chemical, physical or biological science or medical lab technology. (One of the mentioned options is REQUIRED)
Laboratory Experience: 1 year minimum (REQUIRED)
Polymerase Chain Reaction Experience: 1 year or more (REQUIRED)

  • Receiving, labeling and safely storing samples to be tested
  • Determining and performing tests needed for the analysis and report
  • Recording tests and analyses (paper and/or electronically) and then reporting the results
  • Discussing and answering any questions regarding the results
  • Organizing and storing samples in accordance with all safety and other requirements to ensure the safety of personnel and integrity of the sample
  • Cleaning and maintaining lab equipment, including re-calibration of equipment
  • Maintaining a clean and orderly laboratory environment at all times
  • Executing laboratory testing according to standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for each of the assays on the testing menu
  • Maintaining equipment records and daily work logs
  • Staying current on technical and scientific advances in their field
  • Adhering to OSHA, CLIA, CDC, and FDA guidelines, among others

Job Types: Part-time, PRN

Pay: $21.00 - $30.00 per hour

  • Every weekend
  • Holidays
  • Monday to Friday
  • Night shift
  • Overtime
  • Weekends as needed
