Job is located in Des Plains, IL

JOB FUNCTION & SCOPE
The Product Manager is responsible for the country product range based on customer needs and ongoing adjustment through product maintenance and improvement (PIM process), product development (IPE process) and range optimization (PSO process). Represent the interests of the market and supports Geberit International AG (GIAG) in developing market-driven products. Review of country-specific standards and, if necessary, supporting GIAG in obtaining appropriate approvals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Product range development (15%)

  • Determination of the country range based on customer needs and ongoing adjustment through product maintenance and improvement (PIM process), product development (IPE process) and range optimization (PSO process)
  • Representing the interests of the market and supporting Geberit International AG (GIAG) in developing market-driven products
  • Review of country-specific standards and, if necessary, support GIAG in obtaining appropriate approvals

Product range support (35%)

  • Provide competitive analysis, feature benefit analysis, market and price positioning for new and existing products to company employees, sales agents and customers.
  • Develop list pricing strategies with consideration of costs, competitive landscape, and margins. Regularly review prices based on field input and competitive information.
  • Processing technical customer inquiries and inquiries from the technical advisory service.
  • Ensure that Geberit products are listed in tender documents and tariffs of the relevant professional associations and institutions.
  • Ensuring correct product data in the appropriate IT systems; for internal and external customers.

Marketing (25%)

  • Take a lead role in identification and execution of national trade shows.
  • Responsible for managing national showroom program to ensure adequate presence in the form of displays, product, and finish samples.
  • Ensure that Geberit products are presented correctly and per brand guidelines.

Product documentation (20%)

  • Development of technical documentation (assembly manual, planning manuals, general catalog, spare parts catalog, order blocks, product posters)
  • Support marketing communications in the development of customer facing communications such as brochures, flyers, case studies.

All other duties as assigned. (5%)

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business, engineering, or marketing discipline
  • Experience in product or market management
  • MS Office knowledge; Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

NICE to HAVE:

  • Demonstrated technical competence.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel or other data analysis experience.
  • Microsoft SharePoint experience.

TRAINING:

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

  • Must be able to speak, read, and understand English.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively create and present information; and respond to questions

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $95,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
