Job Summary:
We are seeking compassionate individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals. As a Direct Support Professional, you will provide essential care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities in a residential setting.
Responsibilities:
- Assist individuals with daily living activities including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration
- Implement behavior management techniques to support individuals' emotional and behavioral needs
- Provide direct support in areas such as assisted living, hospice care, and long-term care facilities
- Ensure residents' rights and privacy are respected at all times
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to address residents' needs effectively
- Maintain accurate documentation of services provided in compliance with HIPAA regulations
Experience:
- Previous experience in direct support or related fields such as social work, assisted living, or hospice care
- Proficiency in assisting individuals with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
- Familiarity with working with people with developmental disabilities
- Knowledge of resident rights and ethical caregiving practices
- Understanding of long-term care principles and protocols
