Center for Immigrants and Immigration Services is Hiring a Behavioral Health Coordinator Near Denver, CO

Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Behavioral Health Coordinator to join our team. As a Behavioral Health Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of behavioral health services and ensuring the highest quality of care for our clients. This is a part-time position with competitive compensation.

About the Center for Immigrants and Immigration Services (CIIS):

The Center for Immigrants and Immigration Services is a nonprofit, community-based organization serving the refugee and immigrant community in Metro-Denver for the past 13 years. We provide strength-based and trauma-informed resources and assistance to torture survivors, asylum seekers, asylees, refugees, and immigrant families to facilitate recovery and healing. CIIS provides legal assistance, social services, medical assistance and behavioral health services to qualifying individuals on a pro-bono basis.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate internal and external behavioral health referrals, navigating participant caseload for individual support under the guidance of the Director of Behavioral Health.
  • Screen, evaluate and provide in-house mental healthcare treatment for Afghan survivors, Malians and other Ethnic Community members as needed.
  • Maintains accurate and timely documentation and paperwork including participants’ records according to grants and CIIS policies and procedures.
  • Outreach, recruit and sustain relationships with mental health providers to develop a network of pro bono mental/behavioral health supports and services to assist Afghan survivors, Malians and other Ethnic Communities.
  • Outreach and coordinate the daily activities of counseling and clinical social work student interns and externs engaging in internships at CIIS including helping with onboarding.
  • Create education materials, data tracking, and attending meetings.

Experience:

  • Masters Degree in Counseling, Clinical Psychology, Social Work or related field; couples and family a plus, licensure also a plus.
  • Experience with trauma-informed care, culturally sensitive/ multicultural therapy, strength-based therapy interventions, and other applicable treatment modalities.
  • Desire to work in a multidisciplinary team including interpreters.
  • Administrative capacities including program development.
  • Experience working with diverse populations, including working with interpreters.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
