Job Overview:
Altitude Healthcare Staffing are seeking a qualified and compassionate individual to join our team as a Qualified Medication Aide. As a Qualified Medication Aide, you will be responsible for administering medications to patients and providing assistance with daily living activities in an assisted living facility.
Duties:
- Administer medications to patients according to prescribed dosages and schedules
- Monitor patients for any adverse reactions or side effects from medications
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients
- Document medication administration and patient care activities accurately and timely
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure the overall well-being of patients
- Maintain a clean and organized medication cart and work area
- Follow all safety protocols and infection control measures
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Successful completion of a state-approved Medication Aide training program
- Current certification as a Qualified Medication Aide (QMA)
