Experienced Auto Technician

This is your opportunity to join AutoWorks, an independent, family-owned repair shop where we take care of our employees. Working at AutoWorks, you won't face an endless list of rules and restrictions so common at dealerships and larger corporate repair facilities. You’ll work directly with the owner to diagnose and execute repairs and maintenance.

This fall, Autoworks completes its 10th year of operation and has become one of the most trusted repair shops in the area. We service numerous Fleet accounts including an international delivery service; air-conditioning companies; a commercial coffee service as well as large roster of retail customers. Dozens of 5-Star Google reviews are a testament to the quality of our work and continue to generate new business for us. Autoworks averages 2,000 cars a year. You’ll work on US, Japanese, Korean cars, trucks, and vans and an occasional high-end European car.

We're seeking an experienced technician with a minimum of 5 years experience. You should be competent with diagnosis and repair of all major systems including AC; cooling; suspension and steering; brakes and more. Of course there will also be tire changes, oil changes and the like. Having your ASE certificates area plus, but not required.

· You’ll get a $500 signing bonus after one month.

· The salary range is $50,000 - $60,000, based on your experience.

· You’ll be paid an hourly salary for a 40-hour week. This is NOT flat rate.

· The M-F hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; Saturday hours 9:00 to 1:00 p.m.

· Autoworks occupies a large, 4,300 square foot, free-standing building with 3 open sides for excellent ventilation.

· The shop is well-equipped with 7 bays, 5 lifts and an alignment system.

· You’ll earn 1-week paid vacation in 2024, and 2 weeks next year and thereafter.

· You’ll earn 2-days paid sick or personal leave in 2024, and 3 days next year and thereafter

· You’ll be paid every other Friday by direct deposit.

· You’ll be provided with a work uniform after one month.

Your responsibilities will be to follow the direction of the owner/senior tech or service manager. Work will include diagnosis and evaluation of problems, recommendations to correct, parts to order and executing repairs.

Successful candidates will have 5 years of experience; have your own tools; have a valid driver's license; and be ready to start within 2 weeks.

You should live within a 30-minute commute of Delray Beach, FL.

Autoworks is located at 1501 SW 10th St. Delray Beach. We're one light north of Linton and east of Congress, just past the RR tracks.
