**Job Title: Direct Support Professional**
**Duties:**
- Provide direct care and support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
- Assist with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors
- Support individuals in participating in community activities and social events
- Maintain accurate documentation of services provided and individual progress
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
**Skills:**
- Experience in behavior management and implementing behavior support plans
- Knowledge of patient care techniques and principles
- Ability to provide caregiving support, including assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Familiarity with dementia care practices and techniques
- Understanding of systems and processes related to direct support services
- Knowledge of social work principles and practices
- Ability to work collaboratively with individuals, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Experience working in a healthcare or human services setting is preferred
**Qualifications:**
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required; additional education or certification in a related field is a plus
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Must pass background checks and drug screening according to company policies
