CFD Research has an immediate need for qualified Facility Security officer (FSO) for our Dayton, OH office. The Facility Security Officer (FSO) manages, administers and coordinates the DOD or other security program and other security activities to ensure compliance with government and company security policies and procedures.
The FSO will process and review personnel security clearances and maintain all security documentation, files, and clearance and suitability rosters in accordance with government requirements. The FSO will have an understanding and experience of the general security requirements for DOD and other Federal agencies. The FSO will oversee the building and accreditation of a SCIF and SAP space.
**This position could be Part-Time On Call or Full Time - depending on experience and preference**
Basic Qualifications:
• Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess an active TS Clearance.
• 10 years of experience as AFSO or FSO and experience working with DoD contracts
• Experience with DoD Security regulations, DSS audits and inspections in accordance with NISPOM.
• Experience writing security and COMSEC plans, and Standard Practice Procedures in accordance with the NISPOM and National Security Agency regulations
• Experience maintaining clearances and conducting security briefings
• Experience identifying, investigating, and resolving incidents of security related violations
• Experience working with government entities to build and get accreditation for SCIF and SAP space
Location: This role is based in the Dayton, OH area, and is 100% onsite.
