RCFE ADMINISTRATOR JOB DESCRIPTION
Only applicants with active RCFE Administrator certificate should apply for this position.
The RCFE administrator is the leader and primary authoritative figure in the facility and
therefore must maintain professionalism at all times in appearance, attitude and
behavior. The role of the administrator is to operate the facility and follow company
policies. The administrator may also provide care directly to residents and fill shifts

The administrator makes sure the facility is both staffed and occupied by the company’s
ideal employees and residents at all times and is present in the facility a sufficient
number of hours to ensure efficient operation and is on-call for emergencies at all times.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
● Maintaining skills and knowledge to provide supervision and care necessary for
residents to receive quality care.
● Participating and approving resident initial assessment and admissions.
● Achieving and maintaining full occupancy of the facility. This is supported by marketing
and promoting the facility to prospective residents and families by conducting tours and
utilizing special promotions, referral contacts and follow-up.
● Supervising income and expenses in accordance with the facility operating budget.
● Maintaining knowledge of Title 22 regulations and Health & Safety Codes and being up
to date on all “PIN” releases from CCLD.
● Reporting to appropriate agencies and responsible parties any resident deaths,
accidents, or incidents of a serious nature as set forth in Title 22 and the Health & Safety
Codes.
● Investigating and reporting theft and loss in the facility.
● Reporting known or suspected elder abuse pursuant to SOC 341A (within two days of an
incident).
● Arranging for resident transportation pursuant to facility policy.
● Complying with all Federal, State and Licensing regulations.
● Providing and making accessible for review resident and employee documentation as
required by Department of Social Services and the Community Care Licensing Division,
including, but not limited to, admission assessments and records of resident care.
● Recruiting, employing, training, and evaluating staff to perform duties pursuant to facility
policies and regulations.
● Counseling, disciplining, and terminating unsatisfactory employees pursuant to facility
policies.
● Maintaining employee and resident records pursuant to regulations.
● Manage all employee schedules and timesheets.
● Cover shifts when unable to find a replacement.
● Manage and maintain facility medication systems and records.
● Supervise the overall condition of all residents and ensure appropriate actions are being
taken when a resident’s condition changes.
RCFE ADMINISTRATOR JOB DESCRIPTION
● Be available and maintain open communication with all families, responsible parties and
outside agencies via phone, text, email etc.
● Maintain intimate working knowledge of all systems, software and other technologies
utilized by the company.
● Create and maintain a positive working and living environment for staff and residents
● Manage facility calendars including holidays, birthdays and appointments for all staff and
Residents.
● Manage all supplies needed to operate the facility and ensure they are sufficient at all
times.
● Supervise and maintain all facility equipment and report any damages or repairs needed
to Licensee or designated person.
QUALIFICATIONS: The RCFE administrator must:
● Be at least 21 years of age.
● Be of good character and maintain a reputation of personal integrity.
● Maintain professional appearance, attitude and behavior at all times.
● Possess either a high school diploma or GED.
● Possess a current 40-Hour Administrator Certificate.
● Possess DOJ and FBI fingerprint clearances.
● Possess current First Aid certification.
● Complete a health screening and present a negative TB test that is less than six months
old and completed within seven days of hire.
● Comply with Federal, State, and Licensing regulations (Title 22 and Health & Safety
Codes), and possess knowledge of and ability to conform with applicable laws, rules,
and regulations.
● Minimum 2 years experience operating a computer.
● Possess knowledge of requirements for providing care and supervision to residents.
● Possess ability to maintain and supervise maintenance of records.
● Possess ability to direct and oversee the work of others.
