Lafayette County is looking for Patrol Officers to join our Sheriff's Office located in Darlington, WI. We have part-time positions available with starting pay of $24.00 per hour.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 60 college credits/associate degree
  • Have 60 college credits/associate degree within 5 years of employment
  • Eligibility for Wisconsin Law Enforcement Standards Board Certification
  • Valid Driver's License with good driving record
  • Minimum of 18 years of age
  • Ability to handle several tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to use all standard law enforcement equipment
  • Ability to react quickly and effectively to stressful situations
  • Ability to possess a firearm
  • Clear and concise speech
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Good physical condition
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays
  • No domestic abuse or felony convictions
