Additional Detail
The clinical instructor will assist with students and patients in the dental hygiene clinic, teaching correct techniques for the use of instruments, dental cleanings and radiographs.*This is a face-to-face position at the college.*
- Dental hygienist licensed in Virginia or eligible for Virginia license.
- Bachelor's degree in any field (preferred in Dental Hygiene or related field).
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and time-management skills.
- Ability to utilize campus resources including software and college learning management systems.
- Ability to exercise discretion and use sound judgement in decision making.
- Ability to communicate with a diverse community of faculty, staff and students.
- Skilled in written and oral communication.
- Skilled in monitoring, mentoring, and evaluating.
- Skilled in developing, implementing, and communicating college policies and procedures.
- Skilled in problem-solving and working effectively with administration, faculty, staff and students
- Commitment to teaching excellence with an enthusiasm for teaching.
- Ability to use technology to enhance instruction.
- Ability to effectively teach in classrooms and labs.
- Prior experience in a dental practice
