Responsibilities for per diem nurse

• Current RN or LPN Licensure in the State employed

• Assess and manage chronic health problems and on-going health maintenance issues

• Communicate appropriate follow-up measures to be taken and rationale for these

• Perform and document quality control checks as necessary

• Placement and maintenance of Intravenous catheters and phlebotomy

• Biosample collection (blood, urine, sputum, stool, wound, CSF)

• Performance of EKGs

• Administration of I.V

Qualifications for per diem nurse

• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while working with a diverse subject population

• Requires a current status as a Registered Nurse in or Licensed Practical Nurse the State of Virginia

• Must be able to provide geriactric nursing, the ability to relate to patients, and to use the nursing process

• Must be able to communicate effectively,have the ability to problem solve, to direct non-professional staff and to request help as needed

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Per diem, Temporary

Pay: $45.00 - $52.00 per hour

Expected hours: 4 – 40 per week
