Cardinal Senior Living at Danville is Hiring a Business Office Director Near Danville, VA

​​Role and Responsibilities​

  • Processes all payroll associated with your specific property in a timely manner. Keeps staff records up to date, including all associated personnel file information. Assists with tracking personnel performance such as absences, annual reviews, and training. Provides labor reports as requested to the Executive Director. Follows and submits all tasks associated with routine monthly obligations such as billing. Assists in orienting new residents and making sure that all admission documents are completed prior to admission.
  • Monitors accounts receivables past due accounts and keeps the Executive Director aware of progress towards collections. Works closely with account representatives to ensure proper documentation is provided on late payments and issue proper correspondence to those who are late in paying for services rendered. May assist with processing deposits and maintaining documentation of such transactions.
  • Assists with resident billing. Works closely with Executive Director and other department managers to ensure all charges are captured for each individual account.
  • Process human resource related requests. Maintains a safe work environment and ensures any employees reporting an accident or unsafe conditions is handled accordingly. Should workplace injuries occur, when required, Department managers and Directors assist the Executive Director with the investigation, return to work, and management of the injured worker communications with care provider and insurance.
  • Promotes teamwork with co-workers, shows initiative in overcoming obstacles, takes actions which assist others beyond job responsibilities, and has a positive impact on co-workers, residents, and visitors.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or needed including managing incoming phone calls appropriately.

Physical Demands include:

May require Standing, Walking, Sitting, use of hands and fingers to handle or feel, reaching with arms and hands, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, hear, see, lift up to 25 lbs.

Working conditions:

Requires interaction with co-workers, residents, and vendors. Occasional weekend, evening or night work if needed to ensure coverage for the planned activity.

Management/decision making:

Uses limited independent judgement to make decisions based on established policies. Solves problems using standard procedures. Refers appropriate issues to supervisor when necessary.

​​Preferred Skills​:

Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel, accounting, timekeeping, and payroll systems preferred

Essential Skills:

Able to demonstrate leadership through planning, directing, controlling, communicating, and coaching. Strong written and verbal communication skills, strong personnel skills, and positive community relations skills. Excellent written grammar punctuation. Verbally able to articulate in person and over the phone. Self-motivated and can work independently and make decisions. Able to work well under pressure, resolve conflicts, prioritize tasks, and follow through with ideas. Excellent interpersonal and mediation skills, ability to evaluate workers' performance, strong working knowledge of employment laws and company regulations. Excellent organizational skills, detail oriented. Pleasant, professional, and personable.
