Description

Position Summary:

Sovah Health is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to provide ongoing financial analyst support and accountability to Sovah Health to include both hospitals and multiple physician practices. Supports the C-Suite and Accounting department in all things finance and financial analyses, analysis of various projects inclusive of Revenue cycle, productivity and proforma development as well as supports budget development. Supports Sovah Health Danville and Martinsville in addition to other assigned duties as requested by the leadership team.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Education

Bachelor's Degree in health care, finance, management, or accounting and/or equivalent experience in hospital accounting or physician practice financial/operational management required. Preferred Master's Degree

Required Skills

Expert level in excel with the ability to build professional level analytical models for C-Suite level audience.

Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Requires flexibility in scheduling and ability to work all shift patterns including weekends and holidays to ensure continuity of care and appropriateness of coverage for the patients of Sovah Health Danville.

Minimum Work Experience

Minimum of three to five years of financial experience preferably in large physician practice setting.Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in high level financial analyses preferably with a large corporation with revenues exceeding 1 billion dollars.

Assist with development and recommendations related to Sovah Health's operating budget for two hospitals and multiple Physician Practices.

Assist both the C-Suite and Market Controller with analysis and preparation of projections, updated P&L's, ROI's, budget, and growth plans as needed

Serves as a resource for revenue cycle, Market level accounting, Athena, and Axium Reporting.

Assists with Month End Close to include processing and review of at least one function within the accounting department.

Gathers, analyzes, and reports essential regional operating financial information as requested by various stakeholders to include the C-Suite, Accounting and Finance Team and Departmental Directors.

Demonstrates respect for customer needs by developing and maintaining an active willingness to demonstrate value- based leadership and to participate as a team member.

Becomes knowledgeable and compliant with System and Medical Group departments, emergency, safety, HIPPA, educational and personnel policies and procedures, including the Corporate Compliance Program.

Builds and maintains constructive relationships with all other facilities in which support is provided.

Maintains professional affiliations and enhances professional development to keep current in the latest health care trends and developments.

Attends a variety of administrative meetings to make and implement policy decisions to help identify and seek solutions to complex problems while maintaining strict confidentiality.

Performs related work as directed and required.
