As the Director of Product Management, you will lead our product management team in defining and executing the strategic vision for our product portfolio. You will be responsible for driving product innovation, guiding the development of our product roadmap, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality solutions that meet customer needs and align with our business objectives. Your leadership and strategic direction will be critical in shaping the future direction of our products and maintaining our competitive edge in the market.
Your Responsibilities:
- Define and communicate the strategic vision and direction for our product portfolio, aligning with company goals and market opportunities.
- Manage a product team which may include product owners, product managers and analysts.
- Drive product innovation by staying informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and customer needs, and translating insights into actionable strategies.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive product roadmap, prioritizing features and initiatives based on business value, customer impact, and technical feasibility.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, design, marketing, and sales to ensure alignment and execution of the product roadmap.
- Champion the voice of the customer throughout the product development process, gathering feedback, conducting market research, and validating product concepts.
- Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of product initiatives and drive continuous improvement.
- Serve as a liaison between the product management team and executive leadership, providing regular updates on product strategy, performance, and key decisions.
- Drive strategic partnerships and alliances to enhance our product offerings and expand our market reach.
- Oversee all aspects of the product lifecycle from concept to launch to post-launch optimization, ensuring that products meet quality standards and deliver value to customers.
- Foster a productive and empowering working environment for team members.
- Lead and mentor team members, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field. MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
- Proven experience in product management leadership roles, with a track record of successfully leading and growing high-performing teams.
- Strong understanding of product management principles and practices, with experience in Agile development methodologies.
- Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex business challenges and develop innovative solutions.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Strong leadership presence and ability to inspire and motivate teams towards a common vision and goals.
- Experience with product management tools and methodologies, such as roadmapping, prioritization frameworks, and product analytics.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Experience working in SaaS or software product development.
- Experience with strategic planning, digital transformation and change management.
- Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or similar Agile certification.
- 25% travel minimum
