Provides direct leadership of specific areas within the Plant Supply Chain Operations. Operations includes receiving, preparation of raw materials, conversion of raw materials, fill and close seaming processes, thermal retort processes, labeling, and shipping product. This position is responsible for leading a team on shift to deliver on the key measures of safety, quality, productivity, and service. Responsibilities include coaching and developing the team through effective leadership and communication principles. analyzing opportunities and collaborating with the plant team to achieve short- and long-range objectives.

Major Position Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL

80% Direct team leadership to meet area, plant, and company objectives. Includes the effective and efficient use of company materials and equipment and leadership of area employees. Directly responsible for all aspects of quality, safety, productivity, and service. Directly responsible for development of team members and ensuring area is appropriately staffed to meet operational objectives.

10% Analyzing operational opportunities for specific area of responsibility. Includes root cause analysis of issues and action plan steps to improve performance.

10% Planning and leading improvement projects and teams.

SUPPLEMENTAL

Fiscal Responsibility: Operational budgets that includes controllable costs.

Internal Customers: Areas within supply chain that assume responsibility for product such as Production, Cook, Brite, Labeling, Shipping. Plant departments of engineering, maintenance, and quality.

External Customers: Consumers and direct customers.

Qualifications

Degrees

Bachelor’s Degree Science in business or technical related field.

Years of Experience

2 preferred in a manufacturing environment.

Ability to work a minimum of 40 hours per week and as needed.
