Perosphere Technologies is hiring a Quality Control Technician to join the team based in Danbury, CT! This will be an onsite role, 5 days a week.

About Perosphere Technologies

Perosphere Technologies is changing the way decisions are made for patients at risk for bleeding. A private medical technologies company, Perosphere is focused on development and commercialization of the novel PoC (point-of-care) Coagulometer, which informs diagnosis, treatment, and prevention through precision data, made immediately accessible to all. It is the only point-of-care (POC) diagnostic tool that effectively and swiftly tests clotting times across drug classes, including Direct Oral Anticoagulants (DOACs). The fast diagnosis and related appropriate treatment decisions the PoC Coagulometer enables will help establish a new standard of care in hospital emergency departments for patients at risk for bleeding and has the potential to improve efficiency, provide significant cost savings, and better patient outcomes.

Quality Control Technician

Perosphere Technologies is currently seeking a Quality Control Technician to work at our Danbury, CT site. In this role, you will perform, among other R&D duties, inspection, testing, inventory, and validation of products included in the (PoC) coagulometer system – namely, the single use cuvettes and whole-blood controls. This role will also encompass training of end users and other partners on operation of the Point-of-Care (PoC) coagulometer system. As such, domestic and international travel up to 10% of the time is required.

What You'll Do:

  • Perform inspection, laboratory testing and validation of incoming products for (PoC) coagulometer system
  • Transfer/re-packaging of cuvettes
  • Maintain detailed records/inventory of incoming products, as well as product already on-site
  • Summarize and analyze results and draft reports to capture research/testing results
  • Present data to upper management
  • Perform training on coagulometer and whole-blood control use to partner and end customers, if necessary
  • Travel domestically or internationally to end users (i.e. hospitals, clinics, etc.) for training and support, when needed
  • Travel to other company sites to perform testing or validation of products

About You:

  • At least 2-5 years working experience in quality control, inspection, or laboratory testing
  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, materials science, or pharmaceutical sciences
  • Medical device or pharmaceutical industry background
  • Solid analytical laboratory skills
  • Teamwork-oriented mindset with the ability to follow instructions and procedures; capability to independently complete forms and submit paperwork
  • Domestic or international travel is required (10% of the time)
  • Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
  • Basic familiarity with hematology and coagulation
